I’m a 63 year old disabled senior living alone. My only source of income, which is fixed, is government subsidies. For housing I rely on Section 8 program. I have an exemplary rental history. I always pay my rent on time and in full each month (with aid from HA). I am looking for a one bedroom apartment in greater San Jose area.
My current landlord wants more money for this little house by $150. Housing Authority will not agree to this increase so I HAVE TO MOVE. The rental limit for me is $1348 per month. Must accept Section 8 voucher program. In addition, I don’t have the funds to move. I’m trying to eek out a living as it is. I’m always broke the last half of the month.
Due to ongoing medical conditions, and my age, moving is very difficult for me and I do not want to have to go through it ever again so I looking for a place I can stay in for good.
