Hello, I’m a single mom of 3, and will be relocating from Wisconsin to the Raleigh, North Carolina area, late March, early April. I have a voucher through the Section 8 Housing program, for $875.00, and this is for a 3 bedroom. I currently am living in a 3 bedroom, 2 bath home. Appliances are included, washer/ dryer hookup, central air, and a private fenced in backyard. I have a living room and dining room, and there’s an up and down stairs. I prefer the same. I’m not interested in an apartments (I prefer privacy).
I’m seeking a 3 bedroom house or townhouse. I would like atleast 1.5 bathrooms, and washer/ dryer hookups. If you’re familiar with the voucher program, you know that if utilities are not included in the rent, then utility budgets can not exceed that $875 amount. For example, if rent is $775, then utility budgets must be within that remaining $100. I’m very excited about this move, and will be coming down to visit and check out prospective homes late February, early March, as well as handle security payment, if needed. I’m hoping to have a selective few to view once I get there. A home within miles of shopping centers, grocery stores, middles school, and public transportation (bues, trains), is ideal.
