I was looking for an apartment, I already have section 8, my lease is up at the end of May. I live in the Etna area and would like to remain here. I am single and on SSD, age 55. I like the apartment I am in the problem is the utilities are costing me $150.00 winter and summer. I do receive LHEAP, only lasted me until February this year, then comes summer with the AC so basically, the utilities are a constant $130 to $150.00, my rent I pay $370.00 plus $30.00 a month for my cat. The apartment is nice but I have no money left after paying rent and utilities, along with my TV and computer, I cannot afford a car and would like to work. I am unable to walk to get to bus. If you have any suggestions I am all ears.

i put a application at the may bldg downtown pgh , they have thair own sec 8 program, i have a broken back and i’m on disability. they denied me because of DUI (NO FELONIES) THAT I GOT WHILE I WAS ON PAIN MEDICATION. ALSO I GOT BAD CREDIT BECAUSE I COULDN’T PAY MY BILLS BECAUSE I CANT WORK ANY LONGER!!! I AM ON THE ALLEGANY CO. WAITING LIST. I WAS JUST WONDERING SINCE THEY TAKE THE COUNTY VOUCHER WILL THEY LET ME LIVE THERE..ITS CLOSE TO MERCY HOSP.
